Does my company need to sign a long-term or exclusive contract?
No long-term contract is necessary. Services that are utilized or scheduled is billed on a monthly basis. You are free to use any other interpreting company you wish.
Is there any monthly fee or minimum charge for your services?
There is no monthly fee or minimum charge. You are free to use our services for as much as you like.
How many languages do you offer?
We currently offer over 60 languages and dialects, along with American Sign Language for on-site appointments. We offer over 200 languages for telephonic. We are constantly expanding our language banks and adding more languages. If there is a language you are looking for, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.
How is confidential information handled?
All of our interpreters are HIPAA certified and understand that all information obtained while on assignment is kept strictly confidential. All interpreters are professionals who abide by the confidentiality agreement while working with our company.
Are your services accessible at all times?
We provide on-site interpreting services during normal business hours. Telephonic is accessible at all times through our dedicated toll-free number.
How do telephonic work?
Call in to our office or through our-toll-free number to let us know you would like to make a telephonic call. We will gather all the necessary information, then connect you with an interpreter who speaks the native language you have requested. We will dial out to the party you wish to speak with. Once connected, the interpreter will introduce you, the company and the reason you are calling. Afterwards you may speak and the interpreting will begin.
How do document translations work?
Contact our office and let us know that you would like to have some documents translated. If possible, please provide the estimate amount of words, pages and language need so that we may provide you with an accurate quote for translation services. Once all documents and information is obtained, we will assign one of our translation experts to the assignment. When completed, we will notify you and submit the document(s) back.
What industries are your services used for?
Majority of our services are utilized in the medical field, along with legal and educational institutions, but not limited to. Our services can be used in most other industries as well. Please contact our office for more information or questions.
How will I know when my interpreter has arrived?
Your interpreter will introduce themselves and check in by providing their job form to be signed. They will be identifiable by their Lavo Translation ID badge.
Do I need any special equipment for telephonic or video conferencing?
For telephonic, there is no equipment required. Just give us a call and we will connect you to an interpreter and dial out to the party you wish to speak with. Video conferencing will require internet connection to a DSL or cable connection over WiFi and a device such as: tablet, laptop or computer with webcam attached. If you do not have such a device, equipment can be rented from our company.
How much do interpreting cost?
